Karen has 13 years coaching experience, many of those years as the head coach in the Placenita and Whitbourne Clubs, along with teaching in Bay Robert's and Hr. Grace. Two of her 13 years were in the United States where she was a member of the Professional Skaters Association and was certified as a Registered Freestyle Coach.

She's taught many teams over the years, and all ages from Pre-Juvenile level to Novice level. She has had teams compete at the Provincial Synchronized Championships, Eastern Canadians, as well as on the National Level.
Volunteering:
She is Currently volunteering as the 2007 - 2008 Eastern Region Coaches Representative.
